For example, it can conclusively prove kinship between someone and siblings, birth parents and other family members.

Besides adopted individuals wishing to locate biological family members, what are some other reasons for DNA testing for adoption?
Here are three of the most common reasons for adoption DNA testing:

Some states require DNA parentage testing to prove that both of the biological parents have a legal right to relinquish rights to a child that is to be adopted.
